Meet the Talley’s
John and wife Niki Talley, are permanent residents at Piquett Creek. Grandson to Frank Talley, who purchased this land in 1961, John has spent most summers of his 45 year life on the Ranch. He is an avid fly fisherman, and fly tier. He was a Wisconsin DNR Angling Instructor for 2 years, and spent 7 years as a member of the Frank Hornberg Chapter of Trout Unlimited where he participated in stream restoration projects on the Tomorrow River, and as a Fly Tying instructor in classes the Chapter provided for the community. In Utah, he spent 4 years guiding on the Provo River in Utah in his spare time. Now a Montana Resident, he is a licensed Montana Fly Fishing Guide(OUT-GUD-LIC-29877). He is also a 2 handicap on the golf course so if there is any instruction needed on our little course, or on the river, he is your guy. Niki has years in managing large multi million dollar accounts in the outdoors industry. With a Degree in Social Work, she has spent time in wilderness survival programs for youth teaching outdoor survival skills to troubled teens while obtaining skills herself. (ask her to teach you the bow-drill fire starter while you’re here!) We both love backpacking, with many trips in the Tetons, Wind Rivers, Uintas, and of course in the Bitterroot Mountain ranges. In short they love the outdoors and are exited to share this great part of the country with you!
They can handle any arrangements you need to make. Email or call them anytime. Their goal is to make your stay at Piquett Creek a memorable one.
